The Welsh Wildlife Centre
The stunning Welsh Wildlife Centre stands within the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve on the banks of the River Teifi. The building won an award for architectural design in 1993 when it was first constructed, and still astonishes the visiting public today. It is constructed largely of wood and glass and has panoramic views over the Teifi River, Cardigan town and woodland.
Within the building you will find the fantastic Glasshouse Café. Our wonderful cook, Gareth, and his team offer a magnificent menu using organic and locally produced foods such as the all time favourites of Welsh Lamb Casserole and Cardigan Dressed Crab Salad. Sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the view!
The Otter's Holt Gift Shop
The Otter's Holt Gift Shop has a wide range of wildlife related gifts and books for all ages. Craft makers from the local counties showcase some of the best art and craft produced in the area in our shop. The information centre staff are always there to help you enjoy your visit and assist you in understanding the wonders of Welsh Wildlife.
The centre contains an informative interactive indoor display of local
natural and social history about the River Teifi and Cilgerran. Also
interactive screens with live camera feed from off the Teifi Marshes
There is an adventure playground with lots of slides and play equipment with living willow structures to play in and around!
